PM Kisan E-KYC: India Government has released 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Rs. 6,000 to all farmers across the country. To ensure the benefits reach to the right farmers, government has made it mandatory for farmers to complete their eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer).
PM Kisan scheme was launched in 2019, to support the financial needs of land holding farmers by giving them Rs. 6,000 per year in three Kist of Rs. 2,000 every quarter month. The amount is directly transferred to the Aadhaar seeded bank accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT.

To complete the eKYC process farmers can choose from three options:
- OTP based eKYC on PM Kisan portal and mobile app
- Biometric based eKYC at Common Service Centers (CSCs) and State Seva Kendra’s (SSKs)
- Face authentication based eKYC on PM Kisan mobile app
The status of eKYC done through any of the above source will be available in the beneficiary status after completion of 24 hours. Farmers can check their status on PM Kisan portal or through Kisan-eMitra AI chatbot.
