What is DJI Drone Subsidy Scheme 2024
Drone Subsidy Scheme was launched by Central Government in 2022. Main objective of this scheme is to modernise agricultural work. Benefits to farmers from Drone Subsidy Scheme is given below.
Benefits of DJI Drone Scheme to Farmers
- Farmers will get 50% subsidy on buying drones for farming.
- Through drone, farmers will be able to spray pesticides and medicines on crop.
- This subsidy will be up to Rs 5 lakh per farmer.
- Through this drone, farmer will also be able to protect his farm.
- It will take 5 to 10 minutes to spray one acre of land.
- Through all these technologies, farmer can see his entire farm from home.

Drone Training Arrangement
Government is also providing training to farmers to fly drones. That means farmers who buy under the scheme can go to their nearest Krishi Vigyan Kendra or Agricultural Training Institute and get training to fly drones. Government is also providing training to farmers in some Agricultural colleges.
This drone training is for 15 days in which training of flying drones and spraying medicines through drones and general drone related information is given.
Documents Required
Farmer who wants to apply under drone subsidy scheme can apply with his Aadhar card, income certificate, Kisan Card and documents related to agricultural land, land jamabandi and land map etc. Farmer can get the land map of the land from his Gram Panchayat office. Besides this land map can also be downloaded from online portal.
How to Apply in Kisan DJI Drone Scheme
Only offline application can be made for Kisan Drone Subsidy Scheme. Online application process for which has not been started by central government yet. To apply offline, online or offline process will be started soon to buy drones from official website of Indian Department of Agriculture or your nearest Krishi Seva Kendra.
