What is PM Awas Loan Yojana

  • Eligible citizens living in plains are given assistance up to ₹ 120000. And citizens living in hilly area are given financial assistance up to Rs 130000.
  • Under this scheme if you build toilet in your house then additional assistance of up to ₹ 12000 is given.
  • Amount received under the scheme is transferred directly to your bank account.

  • Only permanent resident of India can apply in this scheme.
  • Person applying in the scheme should not have pucca house already.
  • Person age should be more than 18 years.
  • Person annual income should be between ₹ 3,00,000 to 6 lakh rupees.
  • If your name is in ration card or BPL list then it would be better.
  • Person applying must have voter ID.

How to Apply for PM Awas Loan Yojana

  • First of all open the home page of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana website https://pmaymis.gov.in/ in front of you.
  • On the home page you will see three tabs in the menu bar, click on that.
  • Now you will see some options, click on Awaassoft.
  • Now you will see a list, select Data Entry.
  • After this a new page will open, click on Data Entry for AWAAS.
  • After this select your state and district and click on Continue.
  • Here you have to enter your username, password, captcha code and click on Login.
  • After this Beneficiary Registration Form will open in front of you.
  • Enter your personal details, beneficiary bank details, beneficiary convergence details here.
  • Whatever is written in last column will be filled by concern office.

Who is eligible for the PMAY loan?

To be eligible for a PMAY loan, you should be from Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG) or Middle Income Group (MIG) based on your annual household income. You should not own a pucca house in any part of India and should meet other criteria as per the scheme

What is the maximum loan amount and subsidy available under PMAY?

Maximum loan amount for subsidy is Rs. 6 lakhs for EWS/LIG, Rs. 9 lakhs for MIG-I and Rs. 12 lakhs for MIG-II. Interest subsidy rates are 6.5% for EWS/LIG, 4% for MIG-I and 3% for MIG-II for a maximum tenure of 20 years.

What are the documents required to avail of the PMAY subsidy?

Declaration form, PAN card, Aadhaar card, income proof and other state specific documents are required. For MIG-I and MIG-II categories, Aadhaar card details of all applicants in the beneficiary family is mandatory.

Can existing home loan borrowers avail of the PMAY subsidy?

Yes, existing home loan borrowers who meet the eligibility criteria can avail of the PMAY subsidy. But subsidy can be claimed on only one loan account and beneficiary cannot switch to another lender to claim the subsidy again.
